The United Arab Emirates (UAE) has indicated it is unlikely to participate in an international stabilization force for Gaza, citing the absence of a well defined plan. The announcement comes as the US pushes for a coordinated multinational effort to maintain peace in the region following years of conflict.

A senior Emirati official stated that the UAE does not currently see a clear framework for the proposed Gaza stabilization force and, under these uncertain circumstances, will “probably not take part.”

Speaking at the Abu Dhabi Strategic Debate, Presidential Adviser Anwar Gargash emphasized that the UAE prefers clarity and structure before committing to such operations.

The US led initiative, which is expected to include contributions from Egypt, Qatar, Turkiye, and potentially the UAE, aims to help maintain security in Gaza amid a fragile ceasefire after two years of Israeli genocide.

Last week, US President Donald Trump said he anticipated the deployment of the force “very soon.” The UAE, one of the few Arab states to have formal diplomatic relations with Israel following the 2020 Abraham Accords, remains cautious about direct involvement without a clear mandate or operational framework.
