A recent report revealed that the Israeli-made Indian drones shot down in Pakistan were equipped with engines built by a UK-based company, UAV Engines Ltd. Additionally, some of these drones were supplied by the Adani Group, a conglomerate closely linked to Israel's leading arms manufacturer, Elbit Systems.

Multiple media reports confirmed that India launched Israeli Harop drones, produced by Israel Aerospace Industries (IAI), as well as SkyStriker suicide drones developed by Elbit Systems, Israel’s largest weapons manufacturer.

According to Pakistani authorities, 77 such drones were intercepted and shot down across several cities on May 9. One image of a downed drone circulating online clearly showed an engine marked “UAV Engines Ltd.”

According to Middle East Eye, the engine is known to possess the "highest power-to-weight ratio of any rotary engine in the world."

The report also cited an Indian source who disclosed that several drones were supplied by the Adani Group, a multinational conglomerate founded by Indian billionaire Gautam Adani. The group is known for its close ties with Elbit Systems.

In a recent parliamentary session, the UK’s Business Secretary stated that Britain "should not be squeamish" about selling arms to India, a comment that drew sharp criticism from Labour Party MPs Kim Johnson and Jon Trickett, who accused him of exacerbating regional tensions with such provocative statements.

It is worth noting that the UK is currently under intense scrutiny from international human rights organisations for supplying military technology and weapons to Israel amid the ongoing genocide in Gaza.
