Names of Israeli soldiers who killed Hind Rajab revealed in new documentary

The identity of the Israeli army unit whose soldiers killed six-year-old Hind Rajab has been revealed in a new documentary, which also links the same group to alleged execution-style killings inside Gaza’s Al-Shifa Hospital.

This image features Sean Glass, commander of the Israeli army’s “Vampire Empire” company, pictured on the right alongside his troops.

The emblem displayed on their uniforms matches the insignia associated with the group responsible for the killing of Hind Rajab, her family, and the medics who attempted to rescue them.

The same unit is also suspected of carrying out killings inside Gaza’s Al-Shifa Medical Complex.

Israeli government officials initially denied that their forces were present during the attack. Later, they claimed that the 335 bullet holes found on the vehicle resulted from an exchange of fire between the IDF and armed Palestinian fighters.

However, an investigation by the Goldsmiths research group Forensic Architecture, using satellite imagery and audio evidence, found only Israeli Merkava tanks at the scene, with no indication of any crossfire.

Colonel Beni Aharon, commander of Israel’s 401st Armoured Brigade, led the tanks present during the incident. He is already facing a complaint filed with the International Criminal Court by the Hind Rajab Foundation.

The foundation is pursuing multiple legal actions against individual Israeli soldiers, including Shimon Zuckerman, who reportedly filmed himself and other IDF soldiers demolishing a village near Khan Younis. The foundation argues that Zuckerman’s social media posts provide “clear evidence of genocidal intent” that led to the deaths of the Rajab family.

According to Al Jazeera, within the 401st Armoured Brigade, a company called “Vampire Empire,” commanded by Major Sean Glass, was directly responsible for the killing of the Rajab family and tampering with the crime scene. This company operates under the 52nd Armoured Battalion, commanded by Colonel Daniel Ella, whom the foundation holds directly responsible for the killings “at the field level.”

The documentary also claims that this battalion was among the first Israeli units to enter Gaza in October 2023 and took part in some of the war’s most devastating attacks, including the destruction of hospitals.

Israeli security analyst Yossi Melman told the filmmakers that Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s government “does not like” the findings and is “worried” about Israeli military personnel being prosecuted for war crimes internationally. Melman added that such prosecutions are also a concern for Israel’s intelligence agencies, Shin Bet and Mossad.
