Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and other top government and military officials hid in a bunker during strikes on Iran’s defence system early Saturday morning.
A picture that emerged during the Israeli attacks showed Netanyahu with Defense Minister Yoav Gallant and other military officials inside a room at Tel Aviv’s Kirya military base, directing the operations.

Netanyahu and Gallant are currently in an underground bunker at the Ministry of Defense headquarters. They moved to this secure location during Israel’s attack on Iran.

Geopolitical experts warn that continued escalations in the region could lead to a full-scale war, as Israel refuses to restrain its offensive against several Middle Eastern countries.
Explosions echoed across Iran late Friday night as Israel launched projectiles from over 100 aircraft targeting "‘means of producing missiles.
Following the attacks, a viral video showed Iran's air defence system activating, intercepting several Israeli projectiles.
The Israeli offensive, which targeted 20 sites across Iran, lasted several hours and concluded around 5am local time (02:30 GMT), IDF officials told The New York Times.
During the attacks, Iran cancelled all flights and closed its airspace until further notice. However, IRNA reported that the situation remained normal at Tehran's two main airports.
Iran fired around 200 missiles across Israel on October 1 in retaliation for the killings of Hamas leader Ismail Haniyeh, Hezbollah's founding member Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah, and the assassinations of top IRGC military commanders.
In response, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu vowed that Iran “would pay for its grave mistake,” promising a "strong response" to Iranian attacks.
Chief of General Staff for the Armed Forces of Iran Maj Gen Mohammad Bagheri also issued a stern warning, stating that if Iran faces any attack, it will target Israel's entire infrastructure.
