The Gaza Health Ministry reported on Wednesday that due to a shortage of shrouds, blankets are being used to bury the deceased Palestinians as the death toll continues to rise amid ghastly Israeli genocide.
The situation in northern Gaza is bleak, with communication with the outside world collapsing completely. Hospitals have run out of shrouds, leaving blankets as the only option to cover the dead during burials.
In a message on Telegram, a ministry official stated, "We don’t need food or drink as we will be murdered soon. Please send some shrouds to cover our corpses so that you won’t be disgusted by the scenes of our blood and wounds."
Palestinians are also facing a shortage of blankets and warm clothing as winter approaches. It is pertinent to note that no aid has entered northern Gaza since October 1, due to the Israeli siege.
Residents in northern Gaza have been forced to starve for over 20 days, with essential supplies completely depleted. The southern and central parts of Gaza are also enduring a brutal military offensive by the IDF.
According to Hamas, Israel has killed at least 700 civilians in northern Gaza over the past 18 days, since October 5, 2024.
The Israeli army forced people in Beit Lahia and Jabalia to abandon their tents and move to southern Gaza on foot, without food, water, or belongings.
Harrowing scenes of bloodshed continue to emerge on social media, showing men, women, and children severely injured, many bleeding profusely, while others lie dead, missing their body parts.
