A woman in Malaysia, who devoted six years to caring for her paralysed husband, was divorced by him. The man, who recently recovered from his illness, remarried after seeking a separation from his first wife.
Nurul Syazwani, a popular vlogger on social media, used to share her daily routine in short videos, which often featured her caring for her bed-ridden husband.
Nurul's daily routine involved feeding her husband through a nasogastric tube, changing his diapers, and assisting with bathing. Her husband, who had been paralysed in a car accident, required intensive care for six years.
Nurul's selfless care for her paralysed husband garnered a dedicated following of 32,000 fans on Facebook. Her social media followers were shocked after she revealed about separation from her husband and his second marriage.
In a Facebook post that included pictures of her family, Nurul congratulated her ex-husband and his new bride.

“Congratulations to my husband, I hope you are happy with the one you chose. Aifa Aizam, please take good care of him like I did. I am done with him, now it is your turn to take over,” her post read.
“At that time, I was terribly scared whenever he coughed,”she recounted the period of her husband’s illness.
“I did rehabilitation for him every day, and my family came to help every day so that I could rest. I often bought necessities for my children and husband by myself, which was very stressful,” she added.
Nurul removed her congratulatory post, which had gone viral. She asked followers not to criticise her ex-husband or his new wife, saying he “fulfilled his responsibilities well.”
Nurul expressed her regret and apologised to the couple for the harassment they faced as a result of her online post about their wedding.
