World will see our preparations after striking Iran: Israeli defence minister

Israel Defense Minister Yoav Gallant said that “after we strike in Iran, everyone will understand what you did in the preparation and training process.”

“After we attack in Iran, they will understand both in Israel and in other places what your preparation process includes, and the arrangements and your readiness,” Gallant said, according to a video.

Israel has repeatedly said it would retaliate against Iran for launching 180 ballistic missiles on Israel on October 1. 

Iran said the attack was in retaliation for the killing of Hezbollah’s chief Hassan Nasrallah and Hamas’s political leader Ismail Haniyeh.

Earlier, Israel's army confirmed the killing of Hashem Safieddine, Hezbollah's Executive Council head and likely successor to slain leader Hassan Nasrallah, in an attack three weeks ago.

According to a statement released by the Israeli army, Safieddine, Ali Hussein Hazima, the head of Hezbollah's Intelligence Directorate, and other commanders were among those killed in the strike.

"It can now be confirmed that in an attack approximately three weeks ago, Hashem Safieddine, the head of Hezbollah's Executive Council, and Ali Hussein Hazima, the head of Hezbollah's Intelligence Directorate, were killed along with other Hezbollah commanders," the army said in a statement.

The statement further claimed that over 25 Hezbollah commanders were present at headquarters at the time of the airstrike.
