A bizarre incident unfolded in Karachi where armed robbers stole stitched suits from a tailor shop just days before Eid-ul-Fitr.

The robbery took place at a tailor shop in Karachi’s Quaidabad area, where the victim, Bahadur Ali, lost at least 80 dresses that had been given to him by clients for stitching.

“I’m a tailor, and since we receive double the usual orders during Eid, we work 24/7,” Bahadur said while narrating the incident.

“On March 19 at 4:00 am, two unidentified armed men entered the shop and took at least 80 stitched suits at gunpoint,” he added.

Bahadur believed that armed men robbed the shop with a preplanned strategy as they took stitched outfits only, and left mobile phones and cash.

The victim said he submitted an application to Shah Latif Police Station, but no action had been taken, nor was a case registered.

According to Bahadur, the stolen suits were worth nearly Rs500,000.

"The incident has left me in a difficult situation," he said, adding that convincing customers that their dresses were stolen has been a challenge.
