Burglar falls asleep in AC room during robbery

In a bizarre twist of events, an alleged robber, who entered a house with the intention of stealing, fell asleep in the AC room, it emerged on Monday.

According to Indian media, the incident took place on Sunday when a drunken thief entered an empty house in Lucknow’s Indira Nagar.

Indian media said the robber spotted the air conditioner in the living room and decided to take a nap. 

As per sources, the house belonged to a doctor named Sunil Pandey, who was stationed in Varanasi along with his family at the time of the incident.

Pandey's neighbours grew suspicious in the morning when they found his house door open and things scattered inside.

They wasted no time in contacting the police. The cops arrived at the scene and found the culprit, identified as Kapil, fast asleep surrounded by the stolen valuables.

The local police revealed that he ransacked the house, taking all valuables including cash. He even tried to steal household items, including the washbasin, gas cylinder, and water pump.

In the middle of the burglary, he could not resist the cool air conditioning in the living room. The bandit grabbed a cushion and fell asleep on the floor.
