An Islamabad police officer attempted to cure the back pain of an elderly man, who appeared to be severely hunched while walking. The unusual spectacle quickly went viral on social media, prompting users to question both the authenticity of the so-called cure and the appropriateness of the officer's conduct.

In the video, a police officer was seen approaching the elderly man, who was walking with a stick. "Baba jee, kya takleef hai? [What’s the issue?] Chal ke dikhayein thora [Walk a little]," said a man filming the scene.

The officer then removed the man’s walking stick, gently placed his hand on the man’s back, and tapped it. Moments later, the man, previously hunched over, suddenly stood upright and claimed his back pain was gone.

The officer encouraged him to walk, after which the man began walking straight. "Mashallah, how was the treatment? Did I do a good job? Do you feel like you have a new life?" the officer asked.

The officer then assured him that he would no longer suffer from back pain and even urged him to run.

The clip sparked mixed reactions online. Some viewers speculated that the incident was staged to expose a beggar pretending to be disabled, while others raised concerns about the legitimacy and ethics of such behavior by a law enforcement officer.

“Start this from Islamabad and implement the model across the country to get rid of fake beggars,” one user commented.

“I think he was a beggar pretending to be in pain, and they were just trying to expose him,” said another on X.
