Punjab doctors remove toothbrush from man’s stomach

RAHIM YAR KHAN: In a bizarre medical incident, a 55-year-old man accidentally swallowed his toothbrush while brushing his teeth.

According to hospital officials, the man was cleaning his tongue when he suddenly yawned, causing the toothbrush to slip from his hand and pass through his esophagus into his stomach.

He was immediately rushed to Shaikh Zayed Hospital, where doctors successfully removed the toothbrush through an endoscopic procedure.

Medical experts said the patient’s quick arrival at the hospital prevented serious complications, as such cases can lead to severe internal injury if left untreated.
