Customers complain of ATM services outage in Pakistan as 1Link reportedly down

Customers of different banks are facing problem while using automated teller machines (ATM) in parts of Pakistan due to disruption in connectivity between 1Link and banks.

Reports said people are frustrated due to out-of-order ATMs as they are unable to withdraw cash for their needs.

Customers, according to local media, complained that they are also facing trouble while making online transactions.

On the other hand, 1Link officials have confirmed that there is trouble in connectivity with some banks, adding that efforts are underway to restore the services.

Last month, 1LINK issued a public advisory to rubbish the rumors circulating on social media and WhatsApp which warned that ATMs and online banking services in Pakistan were under cyberattack.

The payment gateway system had urged the public to disregard these baseless claims.
