FBR offices open until midnight as fiscal year ends today

As the current fiscal year concludes today, the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) has announced that all tax offices will remain open until 12 midnight to facilitate last-minute recoveries and filings. 

This extended timing aims to support taxpayers in meeting their obligations without delays.

To streamline the process, special arrangements have been made by the authorities. 

The Chief Commissioner of Inland Revenue has issued directives to all FBR offices, ensuring full operational readiness until the deadline.

In addition to internal measures, the FBR has also instructed all banks to transfer collected taxes on the same day to avoid backlogs. 

The FBR confirmed that with the assistance of the State Bank of Pakistan and the National Bank, immediate clearance of transactions will be ensured.

These steps have been taken to maximise revenue collection and provide convenience to taxpayers on the last day of the financial year.
