Gold prices in Pakistan increased on Tuesday, with 24-karat gold trading at Rs349,200 per tola, marking a Rs2,100 rise from the previous day, according to the All-Pakistan Gems and Jewelers Sarafa Association (APGJSA).
Similarly, the price of 10 grams of 24-karat gold rose by Rs1,800 to Rs299,382, while 22-karat gold was quoted at Rs274,443 per 10 grams.
Meanwhile, silver prices remained unchanged, with 24-karat silver standing at Rs3,497 per tola and Rs2,998 per 10 grams.
So far in the fiscal year, gold has gained over Rs107,500 per tola, reflecting a continued upward trend in the domestic market despite fluctuations in international prices.
Globally, spot gold was down by $25 or 0.75%, trading at around $3,312 an ounce. Analysts attributed the drop to easing geopolitical tensions, particularly between the U.S. and China, which reduced safe-haven demand.
Investors are also awaiting key U.S. economic data due later this week, which could influence the Federal Reserve's next policy decisions.
