Gold prices rise by Rs5,000 per tola in Pakistan

Gold prices recorded an increase in Pakistan on Thursday, following an upward trend in the international bullion market.
According to the All Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Sarafa Association (APGJSA), the price of gold per tola increased by Rs5,000, reaching Rs475,362 in the local market.
The price of 10 grams of gold also recorded a rise of Rs4,287 and was sold at Rs407,546.
A day earlier, gold prices had dropped sharply, with the per tola rate falling by Rs6,800 to settle at Rs470,362.
In the global market, gold prices climbed by $50 per ounce, taking the international rate to $4,530 per ounce, including a premium of $20.
Silver prices also witnessed an increase in the local market, rising by Rs60 per tola to reach Rs8,034.
