Govt increases petrol price by Rs5.02, diesel by Rs5.28 per litre

The government on Friday increased the prices of petrol and high-speed diesel by more than Rs5 per litre.
According to a notification issued by the Petroleum Division, the Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) revised petroleum prices under the pricing mechanism approved by the federal government.
The price of high-speed diesel (HSD) has been increased by Rs5.28 to Rs403.32 per litre. The price of petrol has also been raised by Rs5.02 per litre, with the new price set at Rs375.82 per litre.
The revised prices will remain in effect for three days, from September 12 to September 14, 2026.
A day earlier, the price of HSD was increased by Rs5.37 per litre to Rs398.04, while petrol became Rs3.05 per litre more expensive, taking its price to Rs370.80.
