The Oil Tanker Contractors Association has warned of a countrywide strike and suspension of fuel supplies if their demands are not met.

According to details, the association has issued a protest warning against oil marketing companies (OMCs), alleging unfair practices and systemic issues in operations.

Association leaders claimed that the automation system introduced by OMCs is the root cause of widespread corruption and theft.

Leader Abdullah Afridi accused the companies of exploiting contractors under the pretext of commercial loading, calling it a clear case of injustice.

He further alleged that the automation process benefits only select individuals, while oil contractors are already burdened by deductions in advance tax.

The association has urged the Prime Minister and President of Pakistan to take immediate notice of what they termed as unjust practices by oil companies and to initiate corrective measures.

Leaders reiterated that if their grievances remain unresolved, they will launch nationwide protests and halt oil supply operations across the country.
