Islamabad: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif announced on Friday a reduction of 10.69 rupees per unit in the price of electricity for the industrial sector. This reduction is part of the Prime Minister's historic power package aimed at improving the country's industrial landscape.

According to details, thanks to the Prime Minister's dedicated efforts, the electricity price for the industrial and export sectors has been fixed at 34.99 rupees per unit.

This significant reduction in costs is expected to provide substantial relief to the industries.

Under the Prime Minister's package, industries will be relieved of a financial burden exceeding 200 billion rupees. This initiative is designed to enhance the competitiveness of Pakistani goods in the global market by lowering production costs.

The package aims to reduce the cost of production for both industrial and agricultural products, leading to a notable increase in exports.

By making electricity more affordable, the government seeks to foster a more competitive and vibrant industrial sector, ultimately contributing to the country's economic growth.

This move has been welcomed by industrialists and exporters, who see it as a crucial step towards reducing overhead costs and boosting their competitiveness internationally. The reduction in electricity prices is expected to have a positive ripple effect across various sectors, enhancing productivity and profitability.
