The State Bank of Pakistan announced revised operational hours for banks, development finance institutions, and microfinance banks during Ramadan 2024, as stated by the central bank in an official release.

The working hours will start from 09:00am and end at 03:30 pm from Monday to Thursday with a prayer break from 2:00 pm to 2:30 pm.

On Fridays, the office hours are scheduled from 8:30 am to 1:00 pm without an interruption, as outlined by the central bank.

Regarding public dealings, banks are advised to maintain working hours from 9:00 am to 2:00 pm without a break from Monday to Thursday, and from 8:30 am to 1:00 pm without interruption on Fridays.

The SBP emphasized that following the month of Ramadan-ul-Mubarak, the aforementioned timings will revert automatically to the pre-Ramadan schedule.

The Central Ruet-e-Hilal Committee announced on Monday evening that the Ramazan moon has been sighted in Pakistan and the first of the holy month will fall on Tuesday (tomorrow).

The announcement was made by Central Ruet-e-Hilal Committee chairman Maulana Abdul Khabir Azad at a press conference in Peshawar.

The central body was holding its meeting at the Auqaf Department building in Peshawar while the zonal and district committees held moon-sighting gatherings at their respective offices across the country.
