Sadia Imam opens up about quitting showbiz after marriage

Renowned Pakistani actress and host Sadia Imam has opened up about her personal struggles with her husband's disapproval of her working in showbiz after marriage. 

In a recent appearance on a morning show, Imam shared her experiences and the societal pressures faced by women.

Imam discussed the common issue of women being forced to leave their jobs after marriage, citing examples of female doctors who are prevented from pursuing their careers. 

Reflecting on her own life, Imam revealed that her husband, Adnan Haider, stopped her from working in showbiz despite initially admiring her as an actress. 

The actress stressed the need to change the prevailing mindset in society, suggesting that media, including TV programs, can play a crucial role in promoting a more progressive attitude towards working women.

She further said her husband liked her as an actress Sadia Imam but after marriage he stopped her from working. There was nothing but the problem of my husband’s ego to stop me from working in showbiz, she said.

Imam married Haider in 2012, and they have a daughter together. Previously, she had denied reports of quitting showbiz.
