A widely circulated image appearing to show a vandalized Hollywood Walk of Fame star was initially linked to actress Gal Gadot.

However, further investigation has revealed that the image is unrelated to Gadot and instead stems from a promotional campaign by singer Tate McRae.

Speculation and Misinterpretation

The confusion began when a photo showing a damaged star with a hammer beside it went viral on social media.

Many assumed the defacement targeted Gadot’s newly unveiled star, especially amid controversy surrounding her induction ceremony.

The event was met with protests from both pro-Palestinian and pro-Israel demonstrators, leading to delays. While law enforcement was present to manage the situation, no arrests were reported, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.

Reality Behind the Viral Image

Contrary to speculation, the damaged star in the viral image has no connection to Gadot. Instead, it was part of a creative marketing stunt for Tate McRae’s upcoming album, So Close To What.

As part of the campaign, McRae’s team created a replica of a Hollywood Walk of Fame star featuring song titles from her album.

The damaged star was used as a symbolic element to generate buzz for the release and was never an official part of the Walk of Fame.
