Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) firebrand leader Sher Afzal Marwat recently addressed speculation surrounding his health in a video statement.
The PTI lawmaker has categorically denied reports of being poisoned in the recent video uploaded on his microblogging site X account.
"For the past several days, many news reports regarding my health have been circulating, wrongly highlighting my non-participation in sit-ins," he said.
"There is no truth in the news that I have been poisoned. The test results show no such symptoms," Mr Afzal added.
Marwat explained that his health problems began after his release on bail following an encounter with Islamabad police.

"I have been unwell since then, I've contracted influenza and later typhoid," he revealed.
"My liver tests also showed unfavourable results that's why I had lost 10kg weight."
Regarding his non-participation in the party's recent sit-in, Marwat highlighted his commitment to protesting for the supremacy of the constitution and rule of law in Pakistan.
"I am ashamed that when the time came, my health did not allow me to participate," he admitted.
The PTI MNA appealed for prayers, assuring supporters that he will continue to stand for the party's principles once his health recovers.
"I promise you that after my health improves, I will remain steadfast in every procession as before."
