Renowned actor Faisal Rehman recently visited the Pakistan-India border amid heightened tensions between the two nuclear-armed neighbours. Expecting to witness some visible signs of unrest, the actor instead found an atmosphere of calm and silence.

While war hysteria continues to dominate television screens and discussions of a possible escalation persist, Faisal Rehman’s visit revealed a stark contrast to the media narrative.

In a video shared on social media, the actor filmed scenes from the Pakistani side of the border, noting the unexpected tranquility despite the volatile situation.

Surprised by what he saw, Faisal remarked, “What is this chaos everywhere? There is complete silence with not a single person to be seen, and a tube well running in the background.”

“There is no sign of a potential war,” he added.

Rehman also shared footage from nighttime at the border, stating he was just two kilometers away from the Indian side. He pointed out the lights visible across the border while the Pakistani side remained quiet and still.

Advising India against engaging in conflict, Rehman said war benefits no one. However, in a light-hearted tone, he added, “I have kept the tea ready because I have heard that Indians are fond of tea,” referencing a popular meme associated with cross-border tensions.

It is worth mentioning that the current tensions were triggered by the April 22 attack in Pahalgam, located in Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK).

India accused Pakistan of involvement in the attack, which Islamabad has strongly denied. Since then, Indian rhetoric has become increasingly aggressive, while Pakistani forces remain vigilant in defending the country’s territorial sovereignty.
