Faysal Quraishi’s mother says he is a "great star" but not a "good son"

Veteran actress and Faysal Quraishi’s mother, Afshan Quraishi, expressed regret over the estrangement with her son. Though she acknowledged his fame and lauded his acting talent, she firmly stated that he hasn't fulfilled his role as a son.

During a recent interview, Afshan Quraishi appeared visibly upset with Faysal, revealing that she had prayed extensively for her son's success.

“When my child was born, actor Khalid Butt was going to perform Umrah. I wrote a prayer on paper, asking God to make my son as successful as Amitabh Bachchan. I sent this letter to Madina,” she recalled.

The "Berukhi" actor continued, “I always prayed that God would make him a big star, but I made a mistake in my prayers. I forgot to mention that God should also make him a good son and a good human being.”

She emphasised the importance of respecting one's parents, asserting that there is nothing more precious in the world. 

"Respect your parents for they hold the power of blessings in their hands. Those who turn away from them may find themselves struggling to find their own place in the world."

“I urge people to take care of their parents. If you do, you will achieve great success. Take care of your parents, and your life will be sorted. I don’t like the concept of old age homes. It is very wrong to discard your parents like unwanted objects,” Afshan added.

Faysal Quraishi hails from a family of seasoned actors, being the only son of two veterans, Abid Quraishi and Afshan Quraishi.
