Celebrity couple Gohar Rasheed and Kubra Khan beamed with joy at their wedding, capturing hearts with their thoughtful wedding planning. The couple solemnised their nikah at Masjid Al-Haram in Makkah and later celebrated their post-marriage festivities in Pakistan.
However, social media buzzed with mixed reactions after videos surfaced of their wedding dances. Some questioned the celebrations, particularly after the couple had recently performed Umrah, while others defended them, arguing that it was their personal choice to celebrate as they wished.
Pakistan’s entertainment industry has been abuzz with star-studded weddings, with actors like Sheheryar Munawar, Mawra Hocane, Ameer Gilani, and Neelam Muneer already settling down. Now, all eyes are on Gohar and Kubra’s grand festivities.

One common trend in these recent celebrity weddings is the preference for intimate, private ceremonies over publicity-driven affairs.
Initially, Gohar and Kubra were reluctant to confirm the speculation surrounding their marriage. However, as their wedding celebrations gained traction on social media, the couple chose to confirm the news in a creative way, through an Instagram reel.
The newlyweds shared an emotional video of their nikah, which took place on February 12 in front of the Holy Kaaba, surrounded by close family and friends.
Following their nikah, the couple hosted their Haldi and Shendi events in Pakistan. At their Shendi, Gohar wore a classic white kurta shalwar, while Kubra dazzled in an embellished ghagra choli, paired with heavy jewelry.
The couple and their friends from the showbiz industry took to the dance floor, making the event lively and memorable. Their energetic performances went viral on social media, drawing admiration and criticism.
While many adored the couple’s joyous wedding celebrations, some critics argued that, given their recent Umrah, they should have refrained from dancing at their wedding. They suggested that the couple should have shown more reverence toward their spiritual journey.
However, many fans and well-wishers came to their defense, stating that their pilgrimage was a personal experience and that they had every right to celebrate their marriage in a way that made them happy.
