Renowned actor Hamza Ali Abbasi voiced concern over what he termed as "politically motivated cases" against Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) founder Imran Khan, urging all political leaders to 'take a step back' to address the country’s internal issues.
Speaking in a podcast, Abbasi expressed his political views, stating, “It is 100% clear that whether it's Imran Khan or other leaders, they are all sent to jail under politically motivated cases."
He added, “We all know these are political patterns, political tactics. Unfortunately, this is the reality in Pakistan, where office bearers target one another using false cases and FIRs.”

Abbasi emphasised that such political victimisation had been witnessed during every government’s tenure.
“Those who are in jail, and those who have sent others to jail, please, for God's sake, take a small step back,” he appealed.
“We are all Pakistanis. We are in the same boat. If we keep hitting each other with hammers, regardless of who is right or wrong, the boat may break,” he warned.
He urged political leaders to reduce confrontation and prioritise negotiation and dialogue to resolve the ongoing political deadlock.
Abbasi concluded by saying that the only way forward is dialogue among capable leaders:, “I’m sure if everyone collaborates, a solution can be found through talks.”
