Renowned actor Hania Aamir broke her silence about the backstage altercation in Dallas that led to her abrupt departure from a meet-and-greet event, leaving many fans disappointed.

Rumors swirled on social media that the Kabhi Main Kabhi Tum star had left the event suddenly, causing frustration among fans who had taken the time and spent money to see her. Many criticised Hania for seemingly abandoning her admirers.

However, the actor took to her Instagram story to clarify the incident and call out journalists and social media pages for reporting unverified information.

In a detailed post, Hania expressed her deep affection for her fans, emphasising that their support is her top priority. She wrote, "I love you to bits, but it’s unfortunate that it had to end so abruptly.”

Hania explained that while heading to the stage after taking pictures with fans, she overheard a man “verbally abusing” her manager.

Concerned, she approached her manager to understand the issue and confronted the organiser, saying, “you cannot speak to her like this.”

The Mere Humsafar star said she attempted to de-escalate the situation and even resumed taking pictures with fans backstage. However, “At this point he (the organiser) came running after us, calling us names, telling us to get out, called off the security protocol and verbally assaulted us even more.”

Following the organiser's misbehavior, Hania and her team were escorted out of the venue by promoter Arif Khan, who arranged personal transport to ensure their safe return to the hotel.

Expressing her disappointment, Hania stated, “Firstly, whatever your position may be, big or small, it gives you no right to disrespect anyone.” She added, “Secondly, just because us women are in male-dominated fields gives you no right to assume that you can get away with anything, and that we wil not take a stand for ourselves.”

Hania also urged promoters and organisers to ensure such individuals do not ruin events for artists and their fans in the future.

Concluding her post, the actor apologised to her fans who attended the event for the inconvenience they endured due to this unfortunate incident.
