Humaira Asghar’s post-mortem samples sent to KU forensic lab

Post-mortem and forensic samples collected from the residence of model and actress Humaira Asghar have been sent to the forensic laboratory at the University of Karachi for detailed analysis, as the investigation into her sudden death continues.

According to investigative sources, nine samples—including four each from her body and apartment, as well as a blood sample from her brother for DNA verification—were submitted to the lab to assist in determining the cause of death.

Forensic experts carried out a thorough examination at her Defence-area apartment, where her body was discovered, gathering key evidence to support the ongoing inquiry.

Meanwhile, South SSP Mahzoor Ali has formed a special investigation team led by SP Clifton Imran Jakhrani. The team also includes SDPO Defence Aurangzeb Khattak, ASP Nida, and SHO Gizri Police Station Farooq Sanjrani.

In a significant development, law enforcement officers have successfully unlocked three mobile phones and a tablet belonging to Humaira Asghar, using passwords retrieved from her personal diary—potentially providing crucial insights into the case.

The case of Pakistani actress and model Humaira Asghar Ali’s tragic death has taken an abrupt turn as a citizen named Shahzaib Sohail filed a petition in Karachi’s City Court, claiming that her death was not natural but a planned murder.

According to the Police officials, including DIG South Asad Raza, the apartment was locked from the inside, having no signs of forced entry, signifying no instant evidence of foul play.
