Junaid Jamshed's wife shares his last conversation before Havelian plane crash

Junaid Jamshed’s third wife Raazia Muzaffar recently opened up about the memories of the late icon and recalled that he was anxious before his journey to Chitral.
Speaking for the first time in a podcast, Raazia Junaid reflected on her life with Junaid Jamshed, and the heartbreaking moments surrounding the plane crash that claimed his life.
“Since our marriage, most of Junaid’s time was spent traveling, especially by air,” she recalled.
“His last trip before the crash was to Chitral. He always invited all his wives to travel with him. That time, I had exams, so I stayed behind. But I clearly remember, he seemed unusually anxious about the trip.”
Raazia revealed that Junaid had just returned from the US and was soon to depart for Chitral, where he mentioned the weather was bitterly cold.

“He planned to stay for 5 to 6 days, but the trip extended to 10. Despite poor network, he kept in touch and updated me about his well-being.”
She emotionally shared the his last message she received from him, saying, “He said he would have dinner with the family upon his return.”
However, she revealed that she couldn’t reach him during the final moments before the crash. “I was waiting for him at home, unaware of the tragedy. I didn’t know anything until I received a call from his manager while I was attending a Quran class. He told me the plane had gone missing, and he was on his way to Abbottabad to search for Junaid. We didn’t have a television, so I asked my son to check online. That’s how we learned the terrible news.”
Recalling the devastating moment, she said, “I had the Quran in my hands when I got the call. I didn’t know what to do. My world fell apart.”

After completing her Iddat, Raazia also visited the site of the crash.
Junaid Jamshed and his wife Neha lost their lives in the PK-661 crash in Havelian on December 7, 2016, while returning from a religious mission in Chitral to Islamabad.
His final journey was in the service of his faith, as he spent his last days preaching and spreading the message of Islam in Chitral.
At the peak of his musical career, Junaid Jamshed renounced music and turned to religion. He became a respected figure in Islamic preaching and captivated many through his heartfelt Naat recitations.
