Bollywood star Salman Khan has purchased second bulletproof vehicle after security threats from Lawrence Bishnoi gang.
The move comes after Khan received another threatening message from the Bishnoi group, demanding ₹50 million ($602,410) to end their feud.
The latest threat, sent via WhatsApp, cautioned that if the payment is not made, Khan's fate "will be worse than that of former Maharashtra minister Baba Siddiqui.".
Salman Khan’s new vehicle, a Nissan Patrol SUV, was imported from Dubai at a cost of approximately $240,000.
The SUV is equipped with advanced safety features, including bulletproof protection, and is powered by a 5.6-litre V8 petrol engine with a four-wheel-drive system.
It serves as one of the actor's key defences amid heightened security concerns.
This is the second bulletproof car Salman has imported from Dubai in response to escalating threats from Bishnoi, who has targeted Khan since his involvement in the 1998 blackbuck poaching case.
Separately, Salman Khan has resumed filming for the latest season of Bigg Boss, with heightened precautions in place.
The crew is under strict orders to remain on-site until the filming wraps up, ensuring that everyone is accounted for amidst the intense security measures.
Meanwhile, more than 60 guards are present to monitor the area, and access to the compound is tightly controlled.
