Nadia Khan receives backlash for grilling Talha Anjum over Indian flag controversy

Renowned actor and host Nadia Khan interviewed rapper Talha Anjum and lashed out at him during a programme after a video of him embracing an Indian flag at his concert went viral online. Social media users criticised Khan for grilling the rapper without allowing him to speak or present his point of view.

Recently, Talha Anjum appeared on a private TV channel where Nadia Khan, along with another anchor, was hosting a morning show. Nadia repeatedly grilled Talha, taunting him about “showing special love” for India and claiming that he often posts the Indian flag on his social media accounts.

As Talha Anjum attempted to explain that he responded to the criticism after his viral video, Nadia interrupted him and continued questioning him harshly, while the other anchor tried to calm her down.

Talha said that as an artist, it was not his role to promote hate or warmongering from the stage, stating, “I know the Pakistan Army is strong enough to respond to any aggression. We recently fought the largest aerial war in history, and the world saw how spectacularly our forces retaliated.”

Despite his explanation, Nadia continued questioning his social media posts that she believed were in favour of India. Talha then said that if his actions hurt the sentiments of his fans, he was willing to apologise. “I apologise to everybody if anyone was hurt by my actions. I owe it all to Pakistan.”

In the end, Nadia Khan praised Talha Anjum, saying she admired him but was upset about his actions. She advised him to remain cautious about such controversies, warning that some individuals in India might try to frame him since he has a large fan base in the neighbouring country.

After clips from the show surfaced online, social media users criticised Nadia Khan for not allowing Talha to speak properly and for continuously questioning his loyalty to Pakistan.
