Old video of Shah Rukh Khan expressing wish to visit Pakistan with children reemerges

An old video showing Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan hoping to visit Pakistan one day to explore the country where his family has deep roots has reemerged on social media platforms.

The remarks surfaced in a video from a past public event that has recently gone viral, featuring former Pakistani foreign minister and PPP leader Hina Rabbani Khar.

During the interaction, Khar invited Khan to visit Pakistan, noting his immense popularity among Pakistani audiences.

In response, Shah Rukh Khan said his family originally hails from Peshawar, where some of his relatives still reside.

He fondly recalled visiting the city with his father during his teenage years, describing the time as particularly meaningful.

“The most beautiful moments I spent with my father were in Peshawar and Swat,” Khan said, adding that he had also travelled to other Pakistani cities, including Lahore and Karachi.

Expressing a personal wish, the actor said he would like his children to see the places that shaped his early life. “Insha’Allah, I will definitely go,” he said. “I want my children to experience the land that is part of my family’s history.”
