Prime suspect reveals Khalil-ur-Rehman 'exchanged pictures' with her in chat before their meeting

The prime suspect involved in the honey-trapping and abduction of controversial writer Khalil-ur-Rehman Qamar revealed to the police that she had been chatting with him for several days, and both exchanged pictures ahead of their late-night meeting.

According to the sources, the accused, identified as Amina Urooj, told police she had been in contact with Qamar for fifteen days, during which they exchanged phone chats and pictures.

At a press conference on Monday, the playwright confirmed that he was in contact with Urooj, stating that she convinced him to meet her to discuss a drama project.

According to the first information report (FIR), he received a call from a woman named Amina Urooj, who invited him to her residence in Bahria Town to discuss a drama project.

"I was sitting with the woman when someone knocked on the door, and she told me it might be a delivery boy as she had ordered some food," Qamar stated in his complaint.

The London Nahi Jaunga writer disclosed that seven armed men then entered the room and forced him to surrender his belongings, including his car keys and mobile phone.

The suspects withdrew Rs267,000 from the ATM after compelling Qamar to disclose his PIN. He was then forced into a car, subjected to physical and emotional torture, and abandoned in a deserted location.

Qamar revealed in his press conference that doctors have advised him to avoid sunlight. For this reason, he met with the woman late at night.

He also revealed that the woman had been “trying to convince him to meet her for the past 15 days. Eventually, I decided to go at 4:40am.”
