Saba Faisal remarks on daughters-in-law’s wedding attire spark new debate

A statement by renowned Pakistani actress Saba Faisal regarding allowing daughters-in-law to choose their own wedding outfits has triggered a fresh debate on social media.

Saba Faisal recently appeared as a guest on a private television program, where she shared her views on various social issues.

The actress stated that she does not agree with the idea of mothers-in-law allowing daughters-in-law to independently select their wedding outfits.

She remarked that one of the biggest mistakes made by mothers of today’s grooms is granting brides complete freedom to design and choose their own clothing.

According to her, by doing so, the bride is given full authority over her personal preferences from the very beginning.

While she acknowledged that it is good for a woman to wear clothes of her own choice, she added that if this freedom is given from day one, the bride will continue to prioritize her own preferences.

Saba Faisal further stated that in such situations, the bride is likely to wear whatever she personally likes and may not give importance to the preferences of her mother-in-law or sisters-in-law.

She concluded by saying that in their time, newly married brides wore the clothes provided by their in-laws, and she herself followed the same tradition.
