Sania Ashfaq shares alleged threatening messages of Imad Wasim

Former Pakistan all-rounder Imad Wasim’s ex-wife, Sania Ashfaq, has shared screenshots of alleged WhatsApp messages said to have been sent by the cricketer.

Over the past few days, Sania Ashfaq has posted a series of messages on Instagram in which she has levelled serious allegations against the 37-year-old, including claims of infidelity, neglect of their children and coercion relating to a miscarriage.

She has now shared screenshots of WhatsApp conversations from July 2025.

In the purported messages, the cricketer is said to have warned that he would pursue legal action if she or her family attempted to contact him.

According to the screenshots, Ashfaq — who was reportedly pregnant at the time — had requested that Imad Wasim be present at the birth of their child.

The alleged replies indicate that he responded firmly and, according to her claims, threatened to lodge a police complaint if certain conditions were not met.

A day earlier, Ashfaq released a video message in which she accused Imad Wasim of forcing her to undergo a miscarriage in December 2023 and described him in highly critical terms, asserting that she possesses evidence to support her allegations.

She has also called on Islamabad United to act in line with its rules and values.

In addition, she appealed to Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and Pakistan Cricket Board chairman Mohsin Naqvi to take notice of the matter and initiate an investigation.

Imad Wasim and Sania Ashfaq were married in 2019 and divorced in December 2025. The cricketer, who has represented Pakistan in 55 One Day Internationals and 75 T20 Internationals, previously described the end of his first marriage as one of the most difficult periods of his life.

He stated that although the marriage did not succeed, it brought him the greatest blessings of his life — his children — whom he said he loves beyond words.
