Renowned actor Zhalay Sarhadi objected to controversial writer Khalil-ur-Rehman Qamar's claim that his obscene videos were made at gunpoint while he was being honey-trapped by a woman.
The actress appeared in a recent interview where she discussed Khalil-ur-Rehman’s abduction and questioned his claim that he was forced to shoot an inappropriate video with the woman.
The Jurm actor stated that just as the dramatist claims his videos were made under duress, Amina Urooj is similarly asserting that she was coerced.
"According to the claims of the dramatist and the girl, both were taken hostage at gunpoint, but those guns were not visible in the video," she said.
Zhalay furthered on, saying, “People are also wondering why hidden cameras were used if the kidnappers had a gun to his head and forced him to make videos.”
She maintained that the perpetrators don't secretly record videos, but instead openly film their victims to extort money.
Sarhadi stated that in the case of Khalil-ur-Rehman, the assailants secretly recorded the videos with a hidden camera and did not seem to threaten him, as per the leaked footage.
"There’s no sign that Khalil-ur-Rehman Qamar’s leaked video was filmed at gunpoint,” Zhalay added.
Earlier, during an interview, Khalil-ur-Rehman said, "If you watch the videos, you will understand that I was held at gunpoint and compelled to record explicit content with the woman."
He asserted that the suspects were also recording videos.
When asked why he had not disclosed the video earlier, Qamar explained that he had faced victim-blaming after the controversy.
