In the age of clickbait and viral misinformation, it seems no one is safe. Yasir Hussain, the actor, writer, and all-around entertainer found himself at the center of a bizarre and completely false death hoax this week, and let’s just say, he wasn’t about to take it lying down.

Taking to his Instagram stories, Yasir Hussain debunked the absurd rumor that he had “passed away suddenly,” a claim that originated from a YouTube creator’s thumbnail that read, “Iqra Aziz’s husband passed away suddenly.”

The clickbait title quickly gained traction, with several news outlets—including Aaj News—picking up the story without verifying its authenticity.

Hussain, known for his sharp wit and no-holds-barred humor, wasted no time in calling out the irresponsible reporting. Sharing a screenshot of the headline, he sarcastically wrote,

Seriously, [Aaj News] Journalism ka itna bura waqt b ana tha. Mei toh zinda hun magar Aaj News ki gherat ka janaza nikal chuka hai.

Earlier, the news with the caption stated that Iqra Aziz’s husband had passed away.
