Young Karachi singer Waqar Hussain makes his mark on Pakistan Idol

A young man from Karachi's Korangi, Waqar Hussain, has made his mark through his melodious voice on the well-known TV show Pakistan Idol.

Waqar Hussain is one of the top 16 contestants of the show.

Waqar comes from a family deeply fond of classical and Sufi music. His father, Imdad Hussain, is a sitar player, while his brother, Ashfaq Hussain, follows a path in Sufi music.

Waqar has been receiving training in music and singing since childhood. He told reporters that participating in Pakistan Idol has brought a very positive impact on his life, giving him much needed public recognition and reinforcing his faith in his dreams. 

He further stated, “With faith, belief, and sincere effort, young people can achieve any destination.”

Waqar Hussain’s journey, from Korangi streets to a stage as big as Pakistan Idol, is a testament of hard work, dedication and an immense drive to turn dreams to reality. We wish all the luck to Waqar Hussain for his journey on the show to be a success.
