Gold prices see minor decline in Pakistan

Gold prices in Pakistan saw a slight decline on Monday, with 24-karat gold priced at Rs289,100 per tola, down by Rs300 compared to the previous day.
Similarly, the price of 24-karat gold per 10 grams was Rs247,856, a decrease of Rs257, according to the All-Pakistan Gems and Jewelers Sarafa Association (APGJSA).
The price of 22-karat gold also dropped, with 10 grams being quoted at Rs227,209.
Silver prices also fell in the domestic market, with 24-karat silver priced at Rs3,395 per tola, down by Rs14, and Rs2,910 per 10 grams, a decrease of Rs12.
In global markets, spot gold traded near $2,770 per ounce, up by $3.2 or 0.12% from the previous session.
The U.S. dollar gained 0.3%, making gold more expensive for holders of other currencies, while investors awaited guidance on U.S. interest rates ahead of the Federal Reserve's first meeting of 2025.
