3 police officers martyred, 14 wounded after bus carrying cops attacked in Mastung

Three personnel were martyred and 18 others injured in a powerful explosion that targeted a Balochistan Constabulary bus on Dasht Road in Mastung district, Balochistan.
According to police officials, the blast was caused by an improvised explosive device (IED) planted in a motorcycle and detonated remotely.
The constabulary personnel were returning from duty when the attack occurred.
Following the explosion, security forces reached the site, and the injured and deceased were shifted to nearby hospitals.
An emergency was declared at Bolan Medical College Hospital and Civil Hospital Quetta.

DSP Magsi told local media that more than 40 personnel were traveling in the police bus after completing security duty for a Balochistan National Party (BNP) sit-in when they were targeted.
Balochistan government spokesperson Shahid Rind confirmed that all the injured were initially shifted to nearby medical facilities, while those critically wounded were being transferred to Quetta.
He noted that the condition of two personnel remains critical. An investigation into the incident was ordered.
Balochistan Chief Minister Sarfaraz Bugti condemned the attack and assured the families of the martyrs that the government stands firmly with them.

He directed the provision of the best possible medical treatment for the injured and assigned Health Minister Bakht Kakar to personally oversee their care.
“Those responsible for this heinous act will not be spared. No negligence in the treatment of the injured will be tolerated,” he added.
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and President Asif Ali Zardari also expressed their condolences to the families of the victims and strongly denounced the act of terrorism that targeted innocent lives.
