A case has been registered at Saddar Bairooni Police Station against senior leaders and workers of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) for allegedly torturing journalist Tayyab Baloch outside Adiala Jail.

According to police, journalist Tayyab Baloch filed a complaint accusing PTI workers of attacking him during a gathering outside the jail.

Following his report, legal proceedings have been initiated.

The complaint specifically names PTI founder’s sister Aleema Khan, party lawyer Naeem Panjotha, and Intisar Satti among the accused.

Additionally, around 40 unidentified PTI workers have also been nominated in the case for their alleged involvement.

The First Information Report (FIR) has been registered under five sections of the Pakistan Penal Code:

Section 506 (criminal intimidation)

Section 147 (rioting)

Section 149 (unlawful assembly)

Section 382 (theft after preparation for causing hurt)

Section 427 (mischief causing damage)

Police said investigations are underway, and further action will be taken in line with the evidence gathered.
