Citizens can contact the Foreign Office's Crisis Management Unit for any query related to the incident.
The incident followed the Morocco boat capsizing incident, in which over 40 Pakistanis were reportedly murdered by African human traffickers on a boat in the Atlantic Ocean while attempting to enter Europe illegally in January.
Only 22 out of around 66 survived the tragedy.
The incident occurred amidst authorities' crackdown against human traffickers, while over 50 officials in the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) were terminated after they were found involved in sending people to foreign countries in illegal manners.

FIA Director General Ahmed Ishaque Jehangir was also removed from his post and reassigned as an Officer on Special Duty (OSD) in the establishment division.
Insiders claimed his dismissal was linked to the FIA's failure to curb human trafficking cases.
