An anti-terrorism court (ATC) in Lahore on Thursday ordered to seize the properties and assets of six Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leaders, who were declared absconders by the state, in a case of torching Shadman Police Station.
The ATC issued notices to the police and revenue department to seize the properties of Hammad Azhar, Azam Swati, Farrukh Habib, Murad Saeed, Mirza Aslam Baig and Ali Amin Gandapur.
The court ordered to confiscate Mian Aslam Iqbal’s two residential plots and a bank account, Hamad Azhar’s five agriculture lands, Farrukh Habib’s four bank accounts, a residential plot and insurance policy, Murad Saeed’s bank account and a vehicle.
The court also ordered that three agricultural lands, two vehicles, and 35 horses of Imran Khan's nominated CM KP, Ali Amin Gadapur, should also be seized.
Azam Swati’s two agriculture lands, two residential plots, five bank accounts, one vehicle, three flats, 51% shares in Swati enterprises, and properties in the US and Dubai will be frozen on the court's orders.
Earlier, the investigating officer filed a petition, seeking the court to seize the properties of the absconders in the case.
He said all the accused had been declared absconders and they failed to surrender before the court.
The court passed the order and directed the prosecutor to initiate the process and submit the report before the court.
