The caretaker Sindh government has imposed a strict ban on smoking and selling of Sheesha and vape at all public spaces in Sindh.

The restriction was imposed at all public places, including restaurants, hotels, motels, student’s canteens and other such general places in District Peshawar in the larger public interest.

The interim setup directed authorities to implement Prohibition of Smoking and Protection of Non-Smokers Health Ordinance 2002.

According to a notification issued by the Sindh Home Ministry, sheesha was banned due to the health risks associated with it and the growing number of youth who were smoking it.

Sheesha and vape are an alternativee form of tobacco use which has been popular among school and college students.

Anyone who violate the order can be proceeded against under section 188 PPC.
