The Capital Development Authority (CDA) on Thursday night razed the portion of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf's (PTI) central office to the ground in Islamabad.
The authority issued a statement claiming that the office was demolished over a “violation of building rules”.
According to CDA, the illegal construction was eliminated by its anti-encroachment team.
The CDA, in a statement, informed that the operation started at around 11:30pm and took an hour to demolish the portion.

Following the operation, the former ruling party's office located in a commercial building in G-8/4 sector was sealed for alleged violations of building bylaws and “non-conforming use”.
PTI chairman Barrister Gohar Khan and party secretary general Omar Ayub Khan termed the move a "targeted operation" against their party.
Condemning the action, Omar said that his party would raise their voice against the late-night operation in the National Assembly.
The PTI leader compared the operation to Israel's war on Gaza.
Imran Khan's party claimed that their leader Amir Mughal was also arrested by Punjab police outside the PTI secretariat.
