The Capital Development Authority (CDA) in Islamabad removed banners placed in support of Gaza ahead of Jamaat-e-Islami’s planned protest march against Israel’s genocide on April 20.
A video circulating on social media showed CDA workers taking down banners from poles and loading them into a truck.
One man, upon witnessing the removal, began filming and questioned the workers about who had ordered the action.
In the video, one worker responded that they were acting on the instructions of the CDA.

Earlier, during a pro-Palestinian rally in the capital, police used force to disperse protesters, with reports of beatings drawing widespread criticism on social media.
The crackdown on unarmed demonstrators sparked outrage over what many called a heavy-handed response to peaceful protest.
On April 7, JI emir Hafiz Naeem-ur-Rehman announced plans to hold large-scale protest marches towards US embassies in major cities across Pakistan to raise their voice against the ongoing Israeli military offensive in Gaza, where over 50,000 Palestinians, many of them children, have been brutally killed.
Recently a massive march was held in Karachi where women and children in huge numbers participated to express solidarity with Gaza and record their protests against Israel's relentless military assault.
A protest is planned in Islamabad on April 20, to be staged in front of the American embassy.
Criticising the continued silence of Arab and Muslim countries, Hafiz Naeem said their failure to act against Israel’s atrocities would not go unnoticed and warned that the leaders of these nations would be held accountable for their inaction.
