A police officer in Islamabad misbehaved with a woman supporter of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), who came to Turnol on Peshawar Road to attend the party's public gathering.
The former ruling was set to hold a historic public meeting in the federal capital today (June 6) for the release of party founder Imran Khan.
However, the NOC to organise a rally was suspended by the district administration citing security concerns and terrorism threats.
Many PTI workers and supporters started gathering at the location, which were dispersed by the law enforcers allegedly using baton charges.
A woman, whose identity was not mentioned and who came to the place to attend the event, questioned the police officer why the Jalsa Gah was empty.
In response, SHO Shabbir told the woman that the NOC was revoked by the chief commissioner.

"But please don't beat them with batons," the woman responded.
"Aap yahan se niklain, kon hain aap [You move from there, who are you?]" the police official acted rudely to the PTI supporter.
Imran Khan's party has been facing a crackdown since May 9, 2023, when several military and civil installations were vandalised by PTI workers and supporters following the party founder's arrest in the Al-Qadir Trust case.
The crackdown was launched on the PTI to detain the suspect involved in the vandalism with the country’s top civil-military leadership vowing to try rioters under relevant laws of the country including the Army Act.
The stern measures unleashed a mass exodus of leaders from the former ruling party.
Several PTI bigwigs, including Fawad Chaudhry, Asad Umer, Shireen Mazari, Pervaiz Khattak, Fayazul Hassan Chohan, Aamer Mahmood Kiani, Malik Amin Aslam, Imran Ismail, Ali Zaidi, Maleeka Ali Bokhari, Jamshed Iqbal Cheema, Musarrat Jamshed Cheema, left the party condemning the May 9 incidents and accusing Imran Khan of plotting to attacks on defense properties.
