Balochistan Chief Minister Sarfaraz Bugti has announced a government job for Shamail Khan, a brave young boy who risked his life to save two women from drowning in the Zargai Dam in Ziarat.

In recognition of his heroic act, Shamail will be appointed to the Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA) Rescue.

The chief minister also declared a cash reward and a certificate of appreciation for the teenager, calling him a symbol of courage and selflessness.

“People like Shamail Khan are not only the pride of Balochistan and Pakistan but also of all humanity,” said Bugti during the announcement.

“He is the true face of Balochistan—someone who saves lives without expecting anything in return.”

The chief minister acknowledged the challenges faced by professional rescue teams in reaching remote areas across the province and praised civil society members like Shamail who step up in critical moments to serve others.

The incident occurred yesterday, when three women fell into the Zargai Dam. Shamail Khan managed to rescue two of them, putting his own life at risk in the process.

His quick and fearless response has drawn widespread praise from citizens and government officials alike.
