Chief Minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Ali Amin Gandapur, met with Tahir Abbas, a Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) worker who was severely injured after being pushed off 25ft containers during a protest in Islamabad.

Following his medical treatment, Tahir Abbas was transferred to the CM KP House, where he met Gandapur. The chief minister instructed his party members to ensure Abbas's well-being.

Tahir Abbas, a staunch supporter of PTI founder Imran Khan, hails from Mandi Bahauddin.

“God has given you a new lease on life,” Gandapur said to Tahir, who expressed his unwavering loyalty to the party, stating he was ready to sacrifice his life for Imran Khan.

In response, Gandapur reassured him, saying, "There is no need to sacrifice your life. Imran Khan will be released soon." He further encouraged Abbas to ask for anything he needed without hesitation.

The incident occurred during a PTI protest in Islamabad, where Tahir had climbed onto a container and was offering prayers when several security personnel approached. One of them pushed him off, causing him to fall to the ground and sustain severe injuries.

A video of the incident went viral and sparked outrage. Initially, Tahir was believed to have died, but a day later, a photo surfaced on social media confirming he was alive but injured.

The image showed Tahir lying on a bed with his hands heavily bandaged.

Earlier, Federal Minister for Information, Atta Tarar, stated that the PTI worker who was pushed off 25 ft containers by security personnel "was not praying but filming TikTok."
