CM Maryam approves Rs2 billion to construct 'luxury houses' for govt employees

Chief Minister Punjab Maryam Nawaz has approved the budget of Rs2 billion to build luxury houses for government employees, Geo News reported on Wednesday.
According to the media channel, the budget was allocated in the fiscal year budget for the year 2024-25.
The publication said that 29 houses will be built in the Defence Housing Authority (DHA) Phase 9 area of Lahore.
The luxury houses will be constructed for senior bureaucrats of Grades 20, 21 and 22.
"In the first phase, 29 double-storey houses will be built with a budget of Rs2 billion," it added.
The Punjab government has given a deadline of 1 year and nine months to complete the project.
